Тема: Weather and Climate.
Цели урока:
- Обучающие:
- совершенствовать лингвистическую и речевую компетенцию во всех видах речевой деятельности, путемобобщения единичных знаний по теме в систему;
- совершенствовать языковую компетенцию (систематизация ранее изученного материала);
· Практическая:совершенствовать навыки устной речи по изученной теме, умение подготовить связноевысказывание по теме.
- Развивающие:
- развивать языковые, интеллектуальные и познавательные способности учеников;
- обеспечить расширение межпредметных компетенций (общего кругозора и связи изучаемого с явлениями и процессами реального мира);
- развивать воображение при моделировании ситуаций общения
- Воспитательные:
- воспитание культуры и потребности в практическом использовании языка в различных сферах жизни;
- формирование у учащихся основных мировоззренческих идей;
- воспитание и развитие толерантности и самооценки.
Ход урока.
I.Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения. Организационный момент. Сообщение темы и цели урока
Teacher:Goodmorning, students! I hope you are well and ready to work!
2. Целеполагание
Teacher:I’d like to start our lesson with a poem. Read the poem and try to guess the theme of our lesson. (Слайд 1)
When the weather is wet,
We must not threat.
When the weather is cold,
We must not scold.
But be joyful together
Whatever the weather!
Teacher:What are we going to talk about at the lesson?
Teacher:So, the title of the lesson is “Weather and Climate” Weather ! This is a very interesting topic for conversation. I’m sure you know much about weather and climate because we’ve already learnt some information about the weather forecasts in different countries. Today we’ll revise some material and speak about typical climates in different countries.
II. Речевая разминка.
And now I’d like to know what kind of weather you enjoy and why. Discuss in pairs. ( приложение1)

— I enjoy… weather.
Frosty, warm, cloudy, chilly, stormy, cold, hot, windy, rainy, snowy, foggy.
— Why do you like this kind of weather?

Feel full of energy, be full of beans, happy relaxed, optimistic.
III. Говорение.
As you know there are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them lasts three months. Read short texts and guess what season is described. Start your answer with: (Слайд 2-9)

1. This season comes in March and ends in May. Snow melts. It often rains in … , especially in April. People say,» April showers bring May flowers.» The weather is changeable. Usually it’s cool. But sometimes it’s very cold. In April winds bring warm weather.
2. it’s the hottest season of the year. Days are long, nights are short. Usually the sky is cloudless, the sun shines brightly. There are storms in June. The thermometer always shows the temperature above zero. The season brings fruits, vegetables and berries.
3. Then comes… The weather is rainy and stormy. People must wear raincoats and umbrellas if they don’t want to get wet. The leaves on the trees are yellow, brown and red.
4. When … comes, we spend a lot of time at home because it’s snowy, frosty and windy outside. Rivers and lakes are frozen. In … the temperature is always below zero. Everything is white with snow. Children make snowmen and snowwomen, play snowballs, skate and ski.
We can experience different kinds of activities. With your group using the pictures with different kinds of activities on your tables say what types of weather are good and bad for doing these things.(приложение 2)

Today you’ve got a chance to get acquainted with a meteorologist’s job by writing and presenting your own weather forecasts. Work in groups. Look at the temperature and write a weather forecast for one day. Group I for the UK. Group II for Belarus.(Слайд21)
