Цель:
совершенствовать навыки устной речи по изученной темеумение подготовить связное высказывание по теме.
Задачи:

Объявление темы и цели урока.
T: — Good morning! I am glad to see you!
— What date is it today? What day of week is it today? Who is absent?
I’d like to start our lesson with a song. Listen to it and try to guess the key word of our lesson. (Слайд1)
-What is the topic of our lesson?

II. Проверка домашнего задания.
T: -At home you had to answer the question: What are your strengths for future job?
P: in a chain
III. Речевая зарядка.
T: — You`re the 11th year students. While you`re studying at school you should choose your future job. Today at our lesson we`lltry to find out what is a good job for life.
What`s your opinion should you study well at school to find a good job in the future?
P:
T: — I`ve got 2 quotations, they are cut into 3 parts. Help me to connect them. You work in groups and you have 1 minute.
— These quotations belong to Mignon McLaughlin (1913-1983), an American journalist, andRichie Ashburn (1927-1997), an American baseball player.

-Open your books at p.54 ex.1.  Work in groups again and choose the right explanation for your quotation.

T: —A teacher is a person who shows you the world of knowledge. Do you really need to study all school subjects?

T: —As for me I think we should learn all school subjects as different jobs require knowledge of different school subjects. And when we are in the 1st or the 7th form we don`t know our future profession. We should have wide outlook.
What professions require knowledge of these school subjects?(Слайд 9)

T: —And now let`s watch theinterview with people of different jobs. Listen to very attentively and be ready to answer what professions were mentioned/named in the interview.(Слайд 10 – видеоролик)

T:— Watch theinterview again and remember what people like and don`t like about their jobs. Later on you`ll make the dialoguesby analogy.

— Make short interview with your partner. You work in pairs and you have 3-4 minutes.

T: — Different jobs have different requirements and skills that sometimes we don`t have. (Слайд 11)
— Look at the map of jobs and find at least 2 jobs that the person whose words are in bold couldn`t do. Work in pairs.
